From the Sea to the Valley: My Unforgettable Journey Through Jacmel

Last August, I experienced a journey to Jacmel that I will never forget.

It was not just a trip to discover a new destination; it was a journey filled with emotions, unexpected moments, meaningful encounters, and a deeper connection with the beauty of Haiti.

During my stay, I had the chance to discover the incredible beauty of la Vallée de Jacmel. The landscapes, the fresh air, and the calm environment reminded me of how much beauty exists in Haiti’s hidden corners. La Vallée was not only a place to visit; it became a place where I created beautiful memories.

The adventure began with a boat ride. As the day slowly turned into evening, I continued my journey toward Jacmel, arriving late at night at Pont Dumeys, the starting point of the road leading to la Vallée de Jacmel, where I would be staying.

Arriving at night made the experience even more special. After a long journey, I finally reached the Vallée, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains. It felt like entering another world a place where nature, simplicity, and warmth welcomed me.

My journey also led me to the city center of Jacmel, where I discovered a city full of history, art, and creativity. Walking through its streets, I could feel the pride and identity of the people. Jacmel is a city that tells stories through its architecture, its traditions, its artists, and its culture.

I also explored Cayes-Jacmel, where the mountains meet the Caribbean Sea. The peaceful beaches and breathtaking scenery showed me another side of Jacmel a perfect balance between nature and relaxation.

But what made this experience truly unforgettable was not only the places I visited; it was the people I met.
