World Teachers’ Day is a UNESCO initiative, a day devoted to appreciating, assessing, and improving the educators of the world. Also known as International Teachers Day, held annually on October 5 since 1994, commemorates teacher organizations worldwide to honor and appreciate teachers for their contribution to education and development.
Many countries worldwide observe World Teachers’ Day but in some countries observe teacher’s day on some other day. Seminars and conferences are conducted around the world by emphasizing the importance of teachers and learning. The celebration of this day shows the love and affection of students towards the beloved teachers. They show respect and love by presenting gifts, flowers, cards etc. to teachers.
